Drumahair Library
The Drumahair Library project involved capturing the architectural beauty of the library and three small homes through professional photography. Utilizing both drone and ground photography techniques, we aimed to showcase the unique design elements and integration of these structures within their environment. This project was commissioned by Sweeney Architects, highlighting the importance of visual documentation in architectural work.
The Brief
Sweeney Architects required high-quality imagery to promote the Drumahair Library and its surrounding homes. The objective was to document the architectural features and context of the project, providing a visual narrative that could be used for marketing, presentations, and future reference. The challenge was to effectively capture both the grandeur of the library and the intimate scale of the homes, ensuring that all elements were represented accurately and artistically.
The Approach
We employed a dual approach using both drone and ground photography to achieve a comprehensive visual representation. The drone photography allowed us to capture stunning aerial views that highlight the library’s placement within the landscape, while ground shots provided detailed perspectives of architectural details and textures. Our team conducted thorough site assessments to determine optimal angles and lighting conditions, ensuring that each image conveyed the intended aesthetic. We also coordinated closely with Sweeney Architects to align our vision with their design philosophy, resulting in a cohesive photographic narrative.
The Result
The final deliverables included a collection of high-resolution images showcasing both aerial views and ground-level perspectives of the Drumahair Library and homes. These images serve not only as marketing material but also as a visual record of this significant architectural project.
