Project Sauna

The client commissioned us to develop a comprehensive design proposal for a new wellness and recovery facility at Coolmine Rugby Club, internally named Project Sauna. The required deliverables included:

• 2D Drawings: Detailed and fully measured architectural plans to outline the precise spatial arrangement of the sauna and ice baths.
• 3D Images: High-quality visualisations to showcase the proposed design, materials, and overall atmosphere of the new space.

Our process focused on blending accurate spatial planning with compelling aesthetic design:

1. Conceptual Design: We began by establishing the optimal layout for the sauna and ice baths, ensuring functional flow and an efficient use of the available space within the rugby club grounds.
2. 2D Draughting: We produced precise, measured 2D floor plans and elevations, providing the client with the exact dimensions required to assess feasibility and plan for construction.
3. 3D Modelling: The approved 2D layouts were then translated into a detailed 3D model, allowing us to accurately map out interior finishes, material choices, and lighting setups.
4. Visualisation and Rendering: We rendered a series of high-resolution 3D images, carefully capturing the inviting atmosphere of the warm sauna environment alongside the dedicated ice bath zones.

We provided Coolmine Rugby Club with a cohesive and highly practical design package that effectively communicated their vision for Project Sauna. The accurate 2D drawings supplied the essential technical measurements for the next stages of development, while the striking 3D images offered stakeholders a clear, exciting preview of the final recovery facility.
